Electric sauna heaters
Electric heaters are the everyday choice: consistent heat, simple controls, and no firewood routine. Plan for a dedicated outdoor circuit (often 240V) and a licensed electrician, and check your local rules.
Two electric options worth a closer look: the Saunum Air Sauna Heater (patented air-mixing plus WiFi controller package) and the Scandia Small Electric Ultra (3 or 4.5 kW) for smaller cabins. Browse the full Heaters line for Harvia, Huum, and other Scandia sizes.

Wood-burning heaters
Wood-burning delivers the sound, smell, and pace of a fire. You’ll need clearances and chimney/venting. Our Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Washington, and California guides cover fire, burn, and local heater rules in those states. For a wood stove option, see the Harvia M3 wood-burning heater. On our kits, the 4 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline offer the M3 on their product pages. Rules vary by location, so ask us about your local rules before choosing wood.

Frequently asked questions
Is an electric or wood-burning sauna heater better?
Neither is better for everyone. Electric gives consistent heat, simple controls, and no firewood routine, but needs a dedicated circuit and a licensed electrician. Wood-burning gives the sound, smell, and pace of a fire and needs no electrical service, but needs clearances and a chimney; check your local rules.
Which Blazin saunas offer a wood-burning heater?
On our kits, the 4 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline offer the Harvia M3 wood-burning stove on their product pages. Wood-burning or gas heat on the 6 Person Cube is available on request; ask us. The Blackwood offers electric, wood-burning, or gas and propane heaters, chosen when you plan your build, and the Teton can have a wood-burning stove. Pods don't come with wood-burner packages.
Can I have both a wood-burning and an electric heater?
Yes. We can build with both wood and electric if you want both.
How hot does each heater get the sauna?
Our pods, Pod Mini, cubes, 2 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline list 175 to 230°F for the included heater.
Can I use a wood-burning heater where I live?
Rules vary by location, and some areas limit wood burning. We don't claim any wood-burning heater is allowed or compliant for a given address. Ask us about your local rules, and start with electric if you are unsure.
Do you offer WiFi heaters?
Yes. Harvia KIP WiFi, Harvia Spirit WiFi, and Huum WiFi heaters are offered on many of our sauna product pages. See our WiFi sauna heater guide and Harvia KIP vs Spirit.
