What free shipping usually covers

Free shipping is about getting the crated or bundled sauna components to a receivable address in the contiguous US, typically curb, street, or driveway receiving, depending on access and how the shipment is staged for your location.

  • Freight cost for contiguous-US delivery is included on pods, barrels, cubes, and Timberline (no surprise freight line at checkout for qualifying addresses)
  • Pods, barrels, cubes, and Timberline ship for home assembly with model-specific instructions (Teton and Blackwood arrive fully built)
  • You receive a delivery window / coordination path so someone can be present

Exact staging (curb vs driveway) depends on access, piece size, and local conditions. Plan for the most conservative case: pieces arrive where a truck can safely stop, and your team moves them the rest of the way.

What free shipping does not include

  • Hawaii or Alaska freight: Quoted, not free
  • White-glove backyard install: Carrying every panel to the far corner of the yard, setting the cabin on the pad, and assembling it is not the same as free shipping unless you separately arrange pro assembly / special handling
  • Pad, electrical, or permits: Site work is yours (or your contractors’)

Unloading expectations on delivery day

What holds for almost every backyard sauna delivery:

  • Someone on site: A responsible adult should be present for receiving. Missed deliveries create delays and storage headaches.
  • Clear path: From curb or drive toward the pad, remove cars, trash cans, low branches, and soft mud traps. Measure gate width against the largest panels or staves on your model’s packing list.
  • Helpers: Outdoor sauna components are heavy and awkward. Plan enough people to move pieces safely from receiving point to pad. Free shipping does not include labor.
  • Weather: Rain, ice, and high wind make unloading harder and riskier for wood finishes. Have tarps or covered staging ready if weather turns.
  • Pad ready when possible: Ideally, a level, draining base is finished before the truck so pieces aren’t stacked in the lawn for weeks. See Foundation & Electrical.

Curb / driveway receiving vs backyard placement

Think in two legs:

  1. Freight leg (free shipping, contiguous US): Carrier brings the shipment to a receivable street-side or driveway point.
  2. Yard leg (customer plan): You and helpers (or a separately hired crew) move components to the pad and assemble per instructions, or book professional assembly.
