Why Blazin Saunas

Built by hand in Idaho Falls, Idaho

Sugi cedar, no plastics

Pods, barrels, cubes and the Timberline are Sugi cedar. The Teton and Blackwood also offer Thermo Spruce or Thermo Aspen interiors. No plastics in the structure that off-gas in the heat.

Glue-free cabin joinery

1 5/8" thick Sugi cedar walls on pods, barrels, cubes and the Timberline, fastened with stainless steel screws. Teton and Blackwood are insulated cabins.

A crew of six in Idaho Falls

Our team of six builds each one by hand. Call (208) 520-6612 or (208) 270-5860.

3-year limited warranty

Covers residential, rental and commercial use, including saunas bought through an authorized dealer.

Heaters

Choose your heat

Electric, wood-burning, or gas and propane heaters, and we can build with both wood and electric if you want both. Heat-up takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the sauna.

Electric

Suits most backyards where a licensed electrician can run a dedicated circuit to the sauna.

Wood-burning

Suits cabins, canyon lots and rural properties where running power is impractical, or anyone who prefers the ritual of tending a fire.

Gas / propane

Another option. Ask us how it fits your property, and check local rules for gas or propane installs.

Wood + electric

Both wood and electric builds are available on request.

Before you order

  • A level, well-drained base
  • Zoning and setback rules for your lot
  • HOA approval, if you have one
  • Electrical permit and circuit for an electric heater
  • A clear delivery path for the truck
  • Room to keep the roof and door path clear of snow

Rules vary by city, county and HOA. We're happy to talk through placement by phone.

FAQ

Questions we hear most

How long does delivery take for me in Colorado?

Pods, barrels, cubes and the Timberline typically have a 4 to 5 week lead time, followed by 5 to 10 business days in transit. For the Teton and Blackwood, lead time is confirmed with your quote.

Can Blazin assemble the sauna for me in Colorado?

Yes. Professional assembly is $1,250 on pods, barrels, cubes and the Timberline, and our own crew installs it. Our pro assembly team works nationwide. The Teton and Blackwood arrive fully built.

Can someone visit my property before I order?

We don't do site visits. We consult by phone, and photos of your site, access path and power help us plan.

What warranty and return policy apply?

Every sauna has a 3-year limited warranty that applies to residential, rental and commercial use, including saunas bought through an authorized dealer. All sales are final. Each sauna is handmade for your order in East Idaho.

How can I pay?

Pay in full, choose monthly payments through Affirm (rates shown at checkout), or use HSA/FSA funds through TrueMed if you qualify with a Letter of Medical Necessity. Options are on each sauna product page.

Where can I buy a handmade outdoor sauna in Colorado?

Directly from Blazin Saunas. Every sauna is handmade for your order in Idaho Falls and shipped to your Colorado property. Consultations are by phone at (208) 520-6612 · (208) 270-5860.

Do you ship outdoor saunas to Colorado?

Yes. Pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline ship free to Colorado addresses. The Teton and Blackwood arrive fully built, with shipping quoted by location and whether a crane is needed.

Can I use a wood-burning sauna during Colorado fire restrictions?

It depends on your county. Fire restrictions can change quickly, so check your local rules with your county sheriff or fire department and ask how they treat a wood-burning stove, or consider electric or a wood and electric build.

How much snow should I plan for in Colorado?

It depends on where you live. The National Weather Service office in Boulder notes that Denver's western and southwestern suburbs average 65 to 70 inches a season, versus about 47 inches near Denver International Airport. Snow-load requirements are set locally, so ask your building department.

Do I need a permit for a backyard sauna in Colorado?

It depends on your city, county, and HOA. Shed exemptions may not cover a heated sauna, and adding power or heat can require trade permits. Confirm with your own city or county.

Local know-how

Planning your sauna

Weather and setup in Colorado

Snowfall, building rules and fire restrictions differ across Colorado, so this page covers what to check before you order. Nationwide shipping is on our national delivery page.

The National Weather Service office in Boulder notes that seasonal snowfall drops off dramatically as you move east and northeast of the higher terrain: Denver's western and southwestern suburbs average 65 to 70 inches a season, while areas in and near Denver International Airport see about 47 inches (NWS Boulder). Snow-load requirements are set locally, so ask your own city or county building department what applies at your address. Set the sauna on a level, well-drained base, keep the roof clear of heavy snow, and keep a path to the door open after a storm. More: Cold-climate saunas.

Electric suits most Front Range backyards with power nearby. Wood-burning is an option for a mountain cabin without power. Compare heaters in Electric vs wood-burning heaters. Mention a mountain road, steep lot or narrow gate early so the quote reflects it.

Permits and rules in Colorado

Rules for backyard structures are set by your city or county, and HOAs may add their own. Small-shed permit exemptions don't always fit a heated sauna, and adding power or heat can bring trade permits such as electrical. Confirm zoning, setbacks, permits and HOA rules with your own city or county before ordering. If you are considering wood, check fire restrictions first. They can change quickly, so check with your county sheriff or fire department before you burn. See our Permits and HOA guide.
