Short answer: the right time to buy is when your site is ready for delivery and the price works for you. Right now, pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline are $1,250 off the regular price until we are booked up. Each sauna is handmade for your order by our team of six in Idaho Falls, East Idaho, and kits take about 4 to 5 weeks to build. This page helps you decide whether to order this month or finish planning first.
The current sale
- What is on sale: $1,250 off the regular price on pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline.
- How long it lasts: there is no set end date. The sale runs until we are booked up.
- Not on sale: the Teton and Blackwood are at their regular price.
Sale prices show on each product page. Prices change, so confirm the price on the product page before you order. For a full cost picture, read outdoor sauna cost.
Count back from your first heat
Pick the date you want your first session, then work backward:
- Build time: about 4 to 5 weeks for pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline.
- Transit: about 5 to 10 business days once your sauna ships.
- Assembly: most customers build their own kit with the included instructions. Professional assembly by our nationwide team is an option for $1,250 on pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline. See DIY vs professional assembly.
- Power: an electric heater needs a licensed electrician to hook it up. Book that early.
The Teton and Blackwood arrive fully built. Their lead time and shipping are confirmed with your quote. Full timing details are on delivery and lead times.
When waiting is smarter than rushing
Wait (or pause checkout) if your electrician can’t schedule before delivery, HOA/permit questions are open, or the yard path still needs grading. A few weeks of prep almost always beats a cabin sitting unopened on soft ground. Start with foundation and electrical and permits and HOA. Questions while you plan? We’re a real East Idaho shop. Call or text rather than guessing from a screenshot.
A simple “order this month?” checklist
- Product page lead time fits your first-heat goal
- Pad design chosen; contractor or DIY date on the calendar
- Electrician or wood-stove clearance plan started (compare electric vs wood-burning heaters)
- Someone available for delivery day
- Accessories list drafted (Accessories checklist)
If those five are green, ordering now is reasonable. If two or more are red, finish planning first, then buy with confidence.
Buying in fall or winter
Our saunas heat to 175 to 230°F (as listed for our pods, Pod Mini, cubes, 2 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline), and we build every one in East Idaho, where winters are long and cold. If you plan to order as the weather turns, read the cold-climate sauna guide and our outdoor sauna winter prep post so your base and power are set before the ground freezes.
Paying for it
- Monthly payments: Affirm is offered at checkout.
- HSA or FSA: you can use HSA or FSA funds through TrueMed, and your purchase may qualify. A Letter of Medical Necessity may be required, and TrueMed decides eligibility at checkout.
