WiFi Sauna Heaters: Start the Heat From Your Phone

A WiFi sauna heater lets you start heat from your phone so the cabin is warm when you walk out, useful on busy weeknights and cold mornings. Blazin Saunas outfits builds with Harvia packages, including KIP WiFi and Spirit WiFi upgrades alongside the standard KIP built-in controls (see FAQs).

Browse current packages in Heaters, then confirm the exact option on your sauna’s product page in Outdoor Saunas. For air-mixing with app control, see the Saunum Air Sauna Heater (Saunum WiFi Controller package).

What WiFi control actually does

WiFi upgrades add remote start and control convenience. You still get traditional electric heat, and where a product page lists it, that is 175–230°F for the included heater. The app doesn’t change the physics of cabin volume or insulation; it changes when you press “on.”

  • Harvia KIP WiFi: Familiar KIP platform with WiFi control option
  • Harvia Spirit WiFi: Spirit line with WiFi control option
  • KIP built-in: On-heater controls if you prefer simple local operation

Standalone heater lines (Harvia Vega, Wall Dial, Huum, Scandia, and others we list) may offer their own control styles. Always read the live product page.

What WiFi does not replace

  • The right heater: use a heater listed for your model. Use our Harvia heater sizing guide as a starting conversation, then lock the package on the product page.
  • A licensed electrician: Electric heaters often need a dedicated outdoor circuit (commonly 240V); check your local rules. WiFi doesn’t simplify the wire. Site notes: Foundation & Electrical.
  • The electric vs wood decision: WiFi is an electric-heater feature. If you want fire ritual, clearances, and chimney planning, compare paths in Electric vs wood-burning sauna heater.
  • Safe operation habits: Follow manufacturer instructions, keep clearances, and never leave unsafe conditions unattended just because you started heat remotely.

How to choose WiFi vs built-in

Pick WiFi if you value preheating from the house, coordinating sessions with a partner, or tight weekday timing. Pick built-in controls if you want fewer connected devices and you’re always nearby when you heat. Either way, size for the cabin first: convenience is second.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start my sauna from my phone?

Yes, with a WiFi heater package. Harvia KIP WiFi and Spirit WiFi use the Xenio WiFi controller and the MyHarvia app, and Huum Drop WiFi uses the UKU WiFi controller. You start heat remotely so the cabin is warm when you walk out.

Which WiFi heater costs the least?

Of the stand-alone packages we sell, the Harvia KIP WiFi starts at $2,275 (4.5 kW). The Huum Drop WiFi starts at $2,978, the Huum Steel WiFi at $3,220, the Harvia Spirit WiFi at $3,440, and the Saunum Air at $4,465. Confirm on the product page.

Does WiFi make the sauna heat faster?

No. WiFi changes when you press start, not how fast the room heats. Our pods, Pod Mini, cubes, 2 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline list 175–230°F for the included heater.

Do I still need an electrician for a WiFi heater?

Yes. Electric heaters, WiFi or not, need a licensed electrician to install the circuit and make the connection per the heater manual and your local rules.

Can I get a wood-burning heater with WiFi?

No. WiFi control is an electric-heater feature. If you want wood heat, the Harvia M3 is offered on the 4 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline, and the Teton and Blackwood can also be built with wood heat, and wood heat on the 6 Person Cube is available on request (ask us). Pods don't come with wood-burner packages. Ask us about your local rules for wood heat.

Which Blazin saunas offer a WiFi heater?

WiFi options are listed on the Pod Mini, 2 Person Barrel, 4 Person Barrel, 6 Person Cube, and Timberline product pages, among others. Check the heater options on the product page for your model.
