Short answer: yes, we handbuild outdoor saunas in Idaho Falls and send them to Boise and the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, and Star. Pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline ship free in the contiguous U.S. The Blazin Teton Sauna and The Blackwood arrive fully built, with shipping quoted. Statewide, see our Idaho guide.
We are a team of six on the other side of the state, and one of the installs we show is a 2 Person Pod at a customer's home in Boise. Below is general guidance on fitting a sauna to the lots you find around the valley.

Matching the sauna to your lot
- Newer subdivision backyard. If your yard in Meridian, Nampa, Kuna, or Star is compact, footprint matters most. The 2 Person Pod, the model in our Boise photo, seats 2, as does the 2 Person Barrel. For four, look at the 4 Person Pod or 4 Person Cube. If your subdivision has an HOA, get its approval in writing before you order.
- Older Boise neighborhood. Mature trees and a smaller lot may decide where a sauna can sit. Shade is good for the cedar, but keep leaves and needles swept off the roof. The Pod Mini seats 1 and can also go indoors without the roof kit.
- Foothills home. On a sloped lot, plan a level, well-drained pad or platform first, and a path you can use in winter. The Timberline seats 6 or 8 with two bench levels.
- Acreage out in the valley. With room to spare, the XL Barrel (6 to 8), 6 Person Cube (6), or a fully built Teton (5x6 to 8x10) or Blackwood, which adds an attached changing room. Power is the big question on a bigger lot, so plan how far the circuit has to run.

Hot summers, cold winters
The valley has hot, dry summers and cold winters, with some snow and gray, foggy spells. In summer, afternoon shade and air around the walls are kind to the wood, and sessions after sunset are easy to plan: heat-up takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on size. In winter, brush snow off the roof, keep the path to the door open, and make sure meltwater drains away from the base. Electric first, wood if your rules fit
For a Treasure Valley backyard, the simplest route is an electric heater, wired by a licensed electrician to a dedicated circuit. Select heaters offer WiFi control. Our pods, cubes, 2 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline list 175-230°F for the included heater. A wood-burning heater can go on the Teton or Blackwood and on the 4 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, or Timberline kits (6 Person Cube on request), and we build with both wood and electric on request. Smoke and burning rules vary across the valley, so start with electric, and if you want wood, check your local rules and ask us. Gas and propane heaters are available by request: call, text or message us to set it up. Compare: Electric vs wood-burning · WiFi heaters.
City, county, and HOA
Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and the other valley cities, plus Ada and Canyon counties, each set their own rules for backyard structures. Check your local rules on zoning, setbacks, permits, and the electrical hookup with the office that covers your address, and confirm your HOA's requirements. Our Permits and HOA guide lists what to ask. Base and power planning: Foundation and electrical · Backyard installation in Idaho Falls.
