Why we build in Idaho

We started Blazin Saunas in 2024. Today a team of six builds each sauna by hand in Idaho Falls, in East Idaho. Building close to home lets us control the cut, the fit, and the finish on every cabin, and answer your questions ourselves.

To be specific about what "built here" covers: the cabin is built in our shop. Heaters come from established heater makers: our sauna product pages offer Harvia and Huum heater options, and we also sell Scandia and Saunum heaters. Read more about the shop on About Blazin Saunas.

Ten questions to ask any sauna seller

1. Who builds it, and where?

Ask for the city and the shop. Our answer: a team of six in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

2. Is it built for my order or pulled from stock?

Each Blazin sauna is handmade for your order. That is why kits take about 4–5 weeks to build, then 5–10 business days in transit. See delivery and lead times.

3. What wood, and how thick are the walls?

We build with Sugi cedar. Pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline have 1 5/8" walls. The Blazin Teton Sauna and The Blackwood are insulated cabins; inside, you can choose Sugi cedar, Thermo Spruce, or Thermo Aspen, and the exterior siding is chosen per build. Why we chose Sugi: Sugi cedar outdoor saunas and Sugi vs Western Red Cedar.

4. How is it held together?

Ask about glue, fasteners, and plastics inside the hot room. Ours use stainless steel screws, no glue in the cabin joinery, and no plastics in the structure that off-gas in the heat. Details: Clean build, no glue.

5. What does the warranty cover, and for what use?

Read the terms, and check whether rental or business use is covered. Ours is a 3-year limited warranty that also covers rental and commercial use, and saunas sold through approved dealers.

6. Who picks up the phone after the sale?

Ask whether you can reach the shop directly. Ours: call or text (208) 520-6612 · (208) 270-5860, or email support@blazinsaunas.com.

7. What does shipping cost, and how does it arrive?

Pods, barrels, cubes, and the Timberline ship free to the contiguous U.S., and shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is quoted. The Teton and Blackwood arrive fully built, with shipping quoted by location and whether a crane is needed. See what free shipping includes.

8. Can it be changed to fit my yard?

Every Blazin sauna is customizable. Tell us about your site, and when no standard size fits, ask about custom sauna builds.

9. Which heaters are offered?

We offer electric and wood-burning heaters, plus dual-heater builds with both. Gas and propane heaters are available by request: call, text or message us to set it up. Heat range is 175–230°F (as listed for our pods, Pod Mini, cubes, 2 Person Barrel, XL Barrel, and Timberline). Compare them in Electric vs wood-burning.

10. What is the return policy?

Ask before you buy, not after. Ours is plain: All sales are final. Each sauna is handmade for your order in East Idaho. Defects are covered by our 3-year warranty.
